Michael Riedel is a German contemporary artist known for his work with texts and objects. Riedel creates his worksvby restaging cultural events - including film screenings, art exhibitions and music concerts – and by manipulating and re-presenting existing material – text, audio, video, publishing and objects, among others.

For the Vintage Blanc 2006 and Rosé Vintage 2004 Limited Edition, Michael Riedel created a pattern: a SUPERPOSITION of the letters D & P, of Dom Pérignon, assembled and piled upon themselves hundreds of times to compose a unique artistic figure. The pattern is an aggregation of layers, illustrating the years of maturation and the complexity of the wine.ish.

Dom Perignon named after a 17th century Benedictine monk who was an important quality pioneer for Champagne wine.
A rigorous selection process in both the vineyard and winery ensures that only the best grapes go into Dom Pérignon champagne. The final composition changes every vintage: at times a blend in perfectly equal proportions, at times up to 60% Chardonnay or 60% Pinot noir.
