An abundant vintage that produced wines without much grip or staying power but some reds were actually quite lovely. The whites by contrast were very good and the best examples were excellent, indeed some still are today. And I've had good luck with the DRC '73s as well, particularly the Richebourg. Bricked through now. Unfortunately, a very light hint of cork taint spoiled the nose for me though the sweet and delicious flavors were round, supple and forward with fine depth and a touch of minerality on the somewhat dry finish. Even accounting for the TCA (cork taint), this did not appear to be a very good showing and the complete absence of structure suggests that it is now well past midnight.
